From http://www.mcumall.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3024 - Identifying old ATML prefixed chips: ATMLxxxx's are ATMEL EEPROMs. There is a second 3 character code that follows the ATML that is the truncated part number.

Add the Atmel prefix “AT24C” (EEPROM Part Prefix) to the Device code (02B) to get the complete part number.
