| Jumper block | |
|---|---|
| CSB | Insert current sense resistor between pins to measure current on channel B, or short with jumper if not used |
| CSA | Insert current sense resistor between pins to measure current on channel A, or short with jumper if not used |
| UR1 | Jumper to activate pullup on IN4 (not needed for Arduino) |
| UR2 | Jumper to activate pullup on IN3 (not needed for Arduino) |
| UR3 | Jumper to activate pullup on IN2 (not needed for Arduino) |
| UR4 | Jumper to activate pullup on IN1 (not needed for Arduino) |
| 5V_EN | Jumper to enable +5V power to the board via 5V regulator from VMS supply |
|---|
If you install jumper “5V_EN” the board can generate +5V from the VMS (motor) supply using an onboard regulator but only if that VMS supply is less than 16V. That +5V can be used to power an attached Arduino etc via the pin header. Otherwise (eg VMS >16V, too high for regulator), the board needs an external +5V supply as well as the VMS supply.
